Stop Smoking Center – Your Definative Guide
OK so it’s finally time to book yourself into a stop smoking center, you’re sick of waking everyday with a cough like a coal miner, you’re sick of having breath that could kill a kitten, and mostly you’re sick of the constant worry that every single little puff is bringing you closer and closer to your own death!
It’s finally time to truly commit and give up the horrible cancer sticks for good!
So now you have a strong resolve to make giving up a success, this time you need to plan it like an Army General, choose the day of attack (your quit date) choose your weapons (the stop smoking aids you will use in the battle against addiction) and choose your battalion (the friends and family who will happily support you in your decision to go smoke free.)
There are many different methods and tools you can use to stop smoking, from the most popular like patches and gum that give you the shot of nicotine you need to kill the cravings for a while, to the more extreme stuff like injections and the laser therapy.
But one method I’ve been hearing a lot about recently are these new stop smoking centers that focus your mind totally on the giving up experience in a calm and relaxing environment.
There are many of these centers popping up all over the country and if you fire up Google I’m sure you’ll find one within striking distance of where you live. You might try the freedom stop smoking center.
One of the best things you can do when giving up is try and find others in the same boat and that is what these stop smoking centers are all about…
No matter how small the group, it can really help to tell other ex smokers how you’re feeling in a group setting at the center. These people can give you stop smoking support and tips on how to get through the toughest days.
Four reasons you may consider a stop smoking center rather than going cold turkey on your own
- You will be given a trained counsellor to help you through your addiction recovery program at every stage. So whenever you feel like your about to fail you can get some timely advice and work through the problem.
- Even if you travel for work you can call into the center and speak to your counsellor for advice and support on the best ways to stop smoking cigarettes.
- You can book yourself an eight day live-in program that will tackle all the different part’s of your addiction and will give you the best chance of not smoking with 24 hour support.
- The stop smoking center can guide you through all the stop smoking aids available and advise you on what will work best in your situation, be that medication, herbal remedies or just regular nicotine patches. You will also get advice on how best to use these effectively.
When you quit smoking cold turkey it can be one of the hardest challenges you face in life, but the payoff in health benefits can be so great that often you can use all the extra energy and saved money to make major changes for the better to your situation.
A stop smoking center can massively increase your chances of giving up as they have all the bases covered in terms of support and counseling, but of course it’s not cheap to live in the clinic for eight days so you will either have to save up or have a massive quit smoking budget to follow this option.
Try the cheap free stop smoking methods first and then give the centers a call if you are still having trouble.

Find Out What Happens When You Quit Smoking Here
Having been a non-smoker for about five years now I feel able to go into some of the unexpected things I learned about what happens when you quit smoking so that you might find the battle easier than I did.
It has been hard not to puff but the health benefits and energy boost have been nothing short of amazing for me.
The first thing I would suggest is that you not tell yourself you’re giving up forever, just set a small goal that you know will be easy to achieve and go from there. Any smoke that does not make it’s way into your body and blood stream is a good thing in my book.
So let’s get onto the main point of this article and find out exactly what happens when you quit smoking.
What Happens When You Quit Smoking?
You will slip up…
If this is your first time giving up then it is very unlikely that you will be able to go cold turkey and never smoke another cigarette again. But rather than seeing these slip ups as a total failure, a much better outlook is that mistakes are all part of the process and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Just get back on the wagon, don’t beat yourself up and remember that very few people quit first time.
The craving to smoke is just one of the things that happens to your body when you quit smoking…
Nicotine patch addictions
You may find that after you have quit you start to crave nicotine patches just as much as the cigarettes themselves.
This is all very normal and is quite logical when you think about it. When you use patches you’re not really getting rid of your addiction to smoke, you’re just replacing it with something much less harmful.
The good thing about patches is that once you have been off the smoke for a while you can start to decrease the strength and frequency of the patches until you no longer feel the addiction.
With that said it can be much better to just go cold turkey and drink loads of water to wash away that harmful nicotine as soon as possible.
Social Hell
This can be one of the hardest quit smoking withdrawal symptoms.
If you’re anything like me you can remember many a fun evening full of cigarettes, laughing and alcohol with your friends. Once you decide to give up it can feel like you have lost your Mojo and that you will now be an outcast.
The good thing is that this is all really in your mind and your friends want to spend time with you for who you are and not because you smoke.
The other thing that might happen is that friends who smoke may try and tempt you back in to the habit because it makes them feel better about their own decision to smoke.
But you have to be strong and have a practical quit smoking plan. Maybe even consider taking a couple of weeks away from these difficult situations until you feel stronger.
Final Thoughts.
There are many situations and surprises that come about when you give up that seem to be begging you to light up. You must stay strong and remember how many great reasons there are not to smoke.
Look on other smokers with pity rather than feeling jealous that they get to smoke and you don’t.
There are plenty of quit smoking tips on this website to help you give up so feel free to have a look into some of the other pages!

My Quit Smoking Hypnosis CD Review
I can’t remember the last time I switched on the TV and saw a bunch of normal looking people clucking like chickens after some cheesy stage hypnotist has supposedly put them into a hypnotic trance where they obey his every command.
But unlike its more theatrical big brother it seem that the Quit Smoking Hypnosis CD is going from strength to strength and now there is even an iPhone app to help you take your hypnosis sessions with you wherever you go.
The great thing about using hypnosis to give up is that you will have none of the nasty side effects that come with other stop smoking aids.
Quit Smoking Hypnosis CD on iPhone – Stop Smoking with Hypnosis Now
The price of the app is around $10 and is produced by a very successful English stop smoking hypnotist called Max Kirsten.
Here is what you get:
- Main session – 45 minutes that puts you into a trance then takes you through many subliminal smoking cessation hypnosis messages. You listen to the main session once per week.
- Booster session – A short 20 minute hypnotherapy session that should be listened to each day to keep you strong.
- eBook – I thought this would just be filler content but this is a well written guide that has some killer tips for getting over those daily cravings without lighting up
- Ewan McGregor – This really surprised me and adds a lot of weight to the product. As you start the app you are offered the chance to see Hollywood actor Ewan McGregor singing the praises of the program. I’m not sure if he got paid for it but I found this quite convincing because such a high profile actor is not going to put his reputation on the line if the thing does not really work.
- Smoking calculator - You enter your quit date and the amount you used to smoke per week and then as the days go by it tells you how much money you have saved so far – very motivational!
The main session is the real meat of this Quit Smoking Hypnosis CD and as with most hypnosis programs takes you through a relaxation period and then on through positive smoking suggestions.
I have to be honest and let you know that I never really thought this would work on me but I have to say that on the second listen I felt so relaxed and open to what was being said that I really did not want to move. Not sure if that’s what a trance is?
If you don’t yet have an iPhone you can download Max’s quit smoking hypnosis CD from his website and give it a go. Using a hypnosis CD to quit smoking can be fun and also very relaxing!
I think this kind of stop smoking aid is much better than patches or injections as it’s completely natural and relies only on boosting your will power.
Give it a go first.

Looking for an Easy way to Quit Smoking?
I think most people would give up if there was an ultra easy way to quit smoking. We’re all well aware of the risks by now and we’ve seen and been moved to tears by the TV ads that show unfortunate formerly healthy people on the point of death, or children crying over a deceased father or mother.
The one real reason that most attempts to give up fail is that they are not really that serious.
I can speak from personal experience here when I say that there where times I just decided to give up on the spur of the moment one morning with no plan and no organization.
There would be cigarettes all over my apartment and I would be lighting up within the hour.
If you want to give up for real it takes planning and sometimes you have to sacrifice a few social occasions if you’re not feeling strong enough to deal with your friends smoking without you.
The most scary thing about a nicotine addiction is that it is with you all your life much like a recovering alcoholic. Even when you have not had a cigarette for years you can have a moment of weakness one day and the cycle starts again, first a few smokes with a drink, then after dinner, then when you get up, then 40 or 50 a day!
Easy way to Quit Smoking
Your how-to guide.
So with all that doom and gloom out of the way let’s look on the bright side and a glimmer of hope in the form of a new piece of quit smoking technology known as the “Smoke Free cigarette”. Also if you’re trying to work out how to help someone quit smoking, take notes.
The benefits of a smoke free cigarette are obvious in that you will not be choking your lungs with suffocating smoke but also have a secondary up side in that you can use them anywhere and don’t have to worry about a no smoking sign anymore! This can be a real easy way to quit smoking.
The smokeless cigarettes produce a nice clean vapor rather than the toxic poison gas we’ve all shoveled down out throats at one time or another! This really does seem to be one of the easiest ways to quit smoking.
These cleaver little devises come in all sorts of flavors and of course you can get the cigarette flavor for that real authentic killer taste without any of the tar or chemicals that destroy the body. This could be the one!
Beware!
So I know what your thinking…
“This is a miracle, there I was trying to quit and all along I could have been smoking a smoke free cigarette till my heart’s content, and in places where normal cigarettes are banned.”
Well, before you go jumping for joy I do have to warn you that although this is an easy way to stop smoking these smoke free devises still contain nicotine which is in itself poisonous and addictive, and like nicotine patches or gum you should try to ween yourself free from the clutches of even smoke-free cigarettes if you want to be truly free from nicotine.
Smoke free cigarettes are clearly a great idea, even the name makes you dream of how easy giving up is going to be.
So give smoke free cigarettes a try and let me know how you get on. You might also want to have a look into a book by Allen Carr for more advise on easy quit smoking methods – just put “easy way to quit smoking book” into Google.
Good luck.

The Real Benefits of Not Smoking Revealed
If you’re thinking of giving up smoking those horrible cancer sticks you’ve come to the right place. This article will go through some of the major health benefits of not smoking you can expect once you give up and then provide a free way to give up in seven days without will power or stress…so stay tuned!
We all know the reason that cigarettes are so additive, it’s that nasty little thing brought back the Europe by Sir Walter Raleigh called nicotine found in the tobacco plant.
You first try a cigarette and nothing, the taste is bad and you really can’t see the attraction that so many millions of people have had to this killer little stick that has wiped out over 100 million people since the 50’s.
But there is a strong chemical high that you get from from nicotine which is keeping you hooked and also the emotional addition you have to the substance that feels like a friend when you’re lonely and picks you up each time you fall.
Being hooked is no excuse anymore, this stuff WILL kill you if you carry on for a very long time. And personally it does not sit well to have to fork out a load of cash every year for the privilege of having a slow and painful death!
Let’s get sensible and find some really strong reasons to quit right now.
The five major benefits of quitting smoking
- This is the big one and probably the most obvious…one of the biggest advantages of not smoking is that you will definitely live longer baring any unforeseen circumstance, and you will not have to go through the horrendous pain of lung cancer.
- Every time you smoke you take up to 20 minutes off your life span…that’s right, up to 20 minutes! So as soon as you give up you will get rid of all the guilt that comes from blowing years away in a puff of smoke.
- I hate to tell you this but if you smoke around your children or family members you are also putting them at risk of getting a smoking related illness because smoke that comes out of you can sometimes be even more harmful to them.
- OK…this one is fun. As soon as you give up you will have a whole load of money just going spare each month that you can spend on a new car or a holiday, or anything your heart desires!
- You will also have more energy and be able to take up sports that you love without falling over into a coughing and spluttering heap.
*Bonus* If you or you spouse is pregnant you put you baby at risk if you carry on smoking, so another major benefit of not smoking is a healthy happy baby, which is one of the greatest gifts of all.
I hope you found this article useful, we’ve been all over some of the reasons you may decide to quit and I would suggest you take action on anything you learned right now otherwise it will just sit in your mind and be forgotten and wasted. There are many side effects of quitting smoking, but the benefits can change your life.
As ever I wish you luck on your mission! Even if you go through bad withdrawal symptoms, giving up is one of the most important things you will ever do.

Is Quit Smoking Medication Right for You?
The reason quit smoking medication is so popular these days is because there are so many people out there now trying to give up and and we’re all searching for that easy push button quit smoking method that makes giving up a breeze.
You can’t move for people screaming “give me a pill” or “give me an injection” and, even worse, “laser me!”
But these good souls never stop to think about the health implications, side effects and frankly sickness that can easily come from stop smoking medication if not used properly.
One of the problems is that you are not required to visit a doctor to get hold of many stop smoking aids such as patches, gum or lozenges. But most people don’t even know that if you smoke whilst using these products you can get very sick….
This article will try to unravel the mysteries of stop smoking medication and try to promote the idea that you cannot believe every infomercial with a mountain of reliable people saying they gave up using this or that medication. Marketing men will of course roll out the success stories and not show you the downside because that is their job.
I have a rule of thumb that goes something like this….
If I’m going to take any form of medication aside from aspirin for a headache I want my doctor to suggest it because no matter how many episodes of ER I watch I can never even get close to the skill that my medical professional has learned through 11 YEARS OF EDUCATION!!!
Stop smoking medication like injections can now block the need for cigarettes in our brain, but can also do harm to your liver and in some extreme cases leave the user in a coma.
The stop smoking industry is a big billion dollar business per year and as with any industry where the stakes are high, you can get some untrustworthy companies just in it for the money. So you must use a degree of caution when trying out new stop smoking aids as there can be serious health implications that are not always shown in the spotlight.
If after reading all this you are still interested in giving up by using medication here are some of the treatments you may consider:
Quit smoking patch – one of the most popular stop smoking aids. Must be worn on clean, hairless skin and can be purchased in different varieties of strength.
Quit smoking gum – gives you a small amount of nicotine to help with cravings. The gum itself can also be very addictive and it can often take months to ween yourself off it.
Quit smoking lozenges – much like other quit smoking tools you suck the lozenge to release the nicotine. Make sure you do not chew as this can lead to a nicotine overdose.
Injections – probably the most extreme form of stop smoking mediation, you receive injections in your hands, feet and brain which block the need for nicotine. Although the success rate is high with drugs like Chantix, there can also be many side effects ranging from dizziness to a coma in the most severe cases.
Final thoughts
As you may have realized from this article, I’m much more into trying to quit smoking without medication than resorting to pumping yourself full of nicotine to help with the cravings.
At the end of the day if you truly want to quit willpower and some targeted self-conditioning techniques should be enough to get you through the worst of it. I can take you through a detailed and medication-free fourteen lesson programme if you add your e-mail to the right. But there is always stop smoking medication as a last resort.
Thanks for stopping by my quit smoking support group, I hope you found this article useful.
Good luck,

My Guide to the Stop Smoking Injection
Brace yourself guys because I’m going to wheel out another horrible statistic in an attempt to shock you into quitting, then I promise I’ll tell you all I know about these newfangled stop smoking injections.
So here goes…
Every year over five million people die of smoking related diseases. Yes you heard me right FIVE MILLION!
So there is no hiding in the closet anymore thinking that you need to smoke until you’re too old to really do any damage. Young folks are also dying every year and it could be you if you don’t make a real effort to quit the cancer sticks once and for all.
Sorry to sound preachy but that stat’s left me in tears
Another thing I used to kid myself about smoking was that all my friends smoked and none of them were ill, but I now realize that we were all around 17 at the time and I hate to think of the horrible effects that all that puffing is having on my old school friends now.
What about that injection to stop smoking?
So here we go on another mission to find the magic pill to make giving up easy.
But today the pill comes in the form of an injection…
As many of you know I gave up myself going cold turkey after a few different tries but I have been doing a bit of digging and I want to give you an overview of these stop smoking injections in the hope that if you’ve tried everything else this might be what you’re looking for.
Rather than “injection” some clever marketing person decided to call this treatment a ‘vaccine’ to make it sound more official and from what I can gather the success rate is a whopping 70/80 percent! The treatment is given in conjunction with group therapy which has also been shown to be a great help when giving up.
You can either ask for Scopolamine or Atropine and the stop smoking shot will be given in the following location to block the nicotine receptors in the brain.
- Behind the ears
- On the hip or arms
- And behind the brain (Scary!!!)
But don’t worry if you are a little squeamish because you will be in safe hands with a set of highly trained medical professionals who have administered the injections to many former smokers before you.
The injections work by fooling your brain into thinking it does not crave cigarettes for long enough to kill the daily addition.
You may also be given a patch or some pills which will help boost your willpower.
The cost
This is a biggy for most of us and these quit smoking injections are not cheap coming in at around $500 per session which is about the same as laser therapy to stop smoking.
Top tip - Why not speak to your medical insurance company and see if they can cover the cost?
The drugs you will be given are not some new fangled thing that may go wrong in a few years time leaving you with a medical problem, but have been used for a long time to help with all kinds of ailments such as Parkinson’s disease.
As with any drug you may notice a few side effects such as:
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Headaches
- Problems in urinating
Although many patients do not report any of the above symptoms or problems.
With that said there are a number of long term potential side effects that look a little more worrying including:
- Hallucination
- Strokes
- Heart attacks
These are of course very extreme cases and a full check up from your doctor will show up any problems before you begin treatment.
Final thoughts
If you have tried everything else and still have problems giving up then you might want to give the injections a go, but for me the downsides far outweigh the idea of just going cold turkey so try that first.
Keep up the good work, if your looking for a quit smoking support group I’m here for you.

Stop Smoking Hypnotist Max Kirsten
This article is all about Max Kirsten, a stop smoking hypnotist and master neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner from the UK.
I came across Max’s work recently when I got a new iPhone and was interested to see that he now offers a stop smoking hypnosis course as an iPhone application. More on that later…
After a bit more research I discovered that unlike some other stop smoking hypnotists Max actually has a lot of experience in the quit smoking field and has spent many thousands of hours helping people ditch the habit. But not only that, he can also help you out with:
- Addictions,
- Anxiety,
- Stress management,
- Insomnia,
- Weight loss,
- Weight gain
And all manner of other weird and wonderful ailments. Quite amazing that hypnosis could cover so many bases!
Upon reading his website you soon get the idea that Max is kind of a hypnotist to the stars and has had many magazine and newspaper articles dedicated to his work.
As you can imagine his personal fees are not really within the budget of most wage packets and you would also have to travel to the UK to see him which is why I jumped at the chance to mess around with his iPhone app.
What’s in the app?
- Main session – 45 minutes of stop smoking hypnotherapy by Max that you listen to once per week. I went through the session even though I have not had a smoke for a couple of year s and it seemed to be good standard stuff. (You can never have too much stop smoking motivation, even after two years.)
- Boosters session – 20 minute session that you listen to once per day.
- eBook – Although the eBook is quite short there are some really good tips in there about how to deal with daily cravings when they inevitably arrive. Well worth a read.
- Smoking calculator – You put in your quit date and then you get a nice little graph that tells you how much money you have saved by not smoking.
For around $10 this application is a total bargain as far as I’m concerned so if you don’t have a lot of spare cash for a real life hypnotist to stop smoking this is perfect.
All in all I’m very impressed with Max as a stop smoking hypnotist, he seems to give great value in all his products and his credentials are very sound.
Plus with the low price of his iPhone app and CDs, you will not have to sell the family silver to get access to his therapy like you would if you went to see a local stop smoking hypnotist.
My advice would be to just start listening to this stuff every day and then giving up will seem much more possible.
Look into my eyes, you are getting sleepy

My Stop Smoking Plan, You Can Have It!
On this page I’m going to give you the exact stop smoking plan that worked for me and many other people I have read about fighting to give up smoking. It’s quite simple but it gives you easy steps to follow so you can get started today.
I see giving up smoking as a war against your addiction and your mind, so I have put together this battle plan that helped me and a lot of my friends give up.
It works because it does not just use one quit smoking aid or tactic but combines a few together to build a maximum chance of giving up.
Step 1
I call this the fuel…
Basically you must decide finally and fully to give up smoking, no excuses. Not ‘I might puff when I’m out with friends’. You must set a date and decide never to smoke again from that date forward. Write down all the emotional reasons you want to give up and keep this with you for support. I would also recommend telling all your friends and family of your decision and ask them to support you and offer advice if your willpower becomes low and you feel like lighting up.
Step 2
The is the armament stage…
You need to set up your nicotine replacement therapy, and I went for the patches. You’ll need to work out which strength patch to use and then make sure you don’t smoke whilst wearing them because it makes you sick. Follow the instructions on the packet and see your doctor for advice before starting as some folks can get a nasty rash or other side effects.
Patches were just what I used, but if you find something better suited feel free to swap that out.
Step 3
This is the mental phase…
I know that some of you skeptics will be turning in your smoky graves over this one but honestly I really found hypnosis CDs to be great quit smoking resources.
There are many on the market and they all pretty much follow the same formula.
You get a long session of 40 minutes which you listen to once a week and it takes you through a strange hypnotic journey with suggestions about how harmful smoking is.
Then you get a booster session to listen to for 20 minutes a day that keeps your willpower strong.
You have to suspend disbelief here…just give it a try and see if you get the results you’re after.
Step 4
This is the daily stop smoking plan…
Ok so you’ve put the first two parts into place and you’re feeling good, but there are still those low moments in the day when your willpower hits rock bottom and smoking seems so easy. When these low moments occur I have two quit smoking tips that got me through.
- Drink a whole pint of water, you will feel full and this will definately ease the cravings.
- After the water take ten deep breaths and then center yourself and decide not to give into the cravings.
The end…
So now you have the whole stop smoking plan and you can see all the pieces and how they work together. I urge you to steal this method and give it a try in your own life. It’s simple and works on all the different levels of addiction which is why it’s so effective.

Learn Self Hypnosis to Stop Smoking With This Script
Self hypnosis stop smoking methods have been around for a while and if you’re looking for a simple and systematic way to give up smoking either for yourself or for a loved one whom you are worried might harm themselves with the habit, then this could be the most important article you’ve read for awhile.
As I’m sure you know by now, giving up is never as easy as just stubbing out the cigarette.
The fact is that you can use any number of patches or gum, or any other stop smoking aid and none of them even come close the the number of people that have been able to kick the habit with hypnosis.
So before we go through the simple stop smoking hypnotherapy script you can you use to help in giving up smoking, l first want to give you a little bit of background on what self hypnosis actually is…
Basically self hypnosis is a set of methodologies thats puts your mind in a calm and relaxed state where you can start to take in positive suggestion; be those about the idea of giving up cigs, or weight loss or anything.
The hypnosis myth
Many people are scared of hypnosis and think that once the trance in induced they may never be able to pull themselves out of it and might stay like a vegetable forever. Another common fear is that you might be brainwashed into doing all manner of sordid things.
But of course none of this true and self-hypnosis is probably the safest of any kind of hypnosis in that it just takes you through a script that induces trance so you can suggest to yourself that not smoking might be a good idea.
My free self hypnosis stop smoking script
I want to take you through a short hypnosis script that will give you an idea of how it feels and works so that you can decide if it’s right for you and take it further if you find it useful.
As most of you know I’m definitely not a hypnotist so bear with me, this is just the start of you learning to quit smoking by hypnosis
The first thing is to is find a really quiet place away from all interruption where you can either sit lay down in a comfortable position.
The next step is to make a list of the suggestions you want to give your subconscious mind.
In this case it would be stuff like:
“I’m a non-smoker”
“I have not had a cigarette for a year”
“I feel sorry for that people that smoke”
You get the idea…
Always make sure your suggestions are positive and that they are as if the outcome you want to achieve has already happened.
Now its time to begin, you might want to record the next few lines onto a self hypnosis CD with some calming music to save you having to remember it all.
- Just close your eyes and become aware of your breathing and how the in and out sensation fuels your body…
- Then imagine yourself in you own special bubble that is calm and relaxed, this is your very own personal bubble and nothing is allowed into the bubble unless you say so…
- Mentally remove your addiction from the bubble and all the stress and worry that comes with it by repeating your suggestions over and over again to yourself…
- Tell yourself that next time you do self hypnosis you will go deeper and deeper and be more receptive to suggestions..
- Start to become aware of your surroundings and still concentrating on your breathing take one more deep breath and open your eyes feeling energized and refreshed, with a new commitment to give up.
That’s it, you’ve just gone through your very first self hypnosis session, this should take about 15 minutes to really let the suggestions sink in. The more you repeat this self hypnosis technique the more deeply your suggestion will get ingrained into the subconscious mind.
Final thoughts…
This is just a really simple way to get your mind in the right state to begin taking on suggestions, if you have tried this and feel it will be useful in your stop smoking efforts then feel free to drop me an email and I’ll send you some more info…
Keep rocking with this quitting stuff, I know from my own efforts just how hard it can be but there is nothing like the feeling after your first year as a non smoker. Just magical!

Smoking Cessation Laser Therapy, Why I’m Not Convinced
If you have been trying to give up for a while you will have no doubt come across a lot of information on quit smoking laser therapy as an easy way to quit without too much willpower or the need for dangerous drugs that could give you worse health problems than the cigarettes themselves.
But as the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and there have been some issues with laser therapy that I want to tell you about before you go ahead and spend the $300+ that each laser session will set you back.
First things first…what on earth is quit smoking laser therapy and will I have to get ZAPPED?!?
Laser therapy for smoking cessation is not new – it has been used in Europe for over 25 years but contrary to popular belief there will be no burning hot beams piercing your skin and zapping out nicotine like some episode of Star Trek going on all over your body.
The therapy works along the same lines as acupuncture using pressure points all over your body to produces endorphins which help with your energy and the battle against cravings.
So I guess you have to decide if you are a laser person or a needle person? But needless to say the low level laser therapy equipment is 100% safe on the human body.
To be fair the laser treatments for smoking cessation are no stronger than a low level light bulb and the most you will experience is a slight tingling sensation on your skin.
The main promise of the treatment is that armed with your newly created endorphins you will be able to deal with the cravings much easier. Couple this with smoking cessation counseling and you could be much more likely to give up for good this time.
But for me this seems a little bit weird…
The idea of paying such a large sum to produce endorphins in your body that might help you quit seems overpriced. You can produce endorphins on demand by just going for a short run then when you get back just put on your smoking hypnosis CD and save $280 a week!
Of course if you read the leaflet in the laser therapy clinics they will tell you quite rightly that one session if often enough for a patient to give up smoking.
What they don’t tell you is that there is a whole heap of other smokers who still feel the strong need to smoke and feel like they must have more and more laser therapy to make their investment worth while.
In preparation for writing this for you I decided to dig up any medical evidence to support the claims made by these laser clinics but I could find nothing. The laser therapist will tell you that it exists but I could find nothing out there to support the claims.
Note: If you have come across any paper on the subject then please drop me an email.
Final thoughts
I guess my main problem with laser therapy is that it seems to pray on the millions of desperate people who have tried every quit smoking aid and still feel the strong urge to light up.
I’m not going to be one of those people who tell you to try lasers if you have already done everything else. In my opinion I really don’t think lasers are proven enough to warrant the high price tag.
A better solution to me seems to be to stop smoking injections that at least target the cause of the addiction head on.
Just my thoughts, let me know what you think.

My Guide to Stop Smoking Lozenges in Plan English
We all love candy right? Well how about some super special candy than can help you give up on those deadly cancer sticks? That is the dream of the marketing men at the stop smoking lozenges factory.
This new form of nicotine replacement therapy has not been on the market very long but seems to be popular with the army of addicted people on a mission to quit. They look just like any other candy but the nicotine lozenges come in some juicy flavors and contain just the right amount of nicotine to get you through a day full of cravings.
A simple way to stop smoking
The new lozenges work much like patches and gum but you should always have a word with a medical person before trying any new stop smoking treatment.
Basically you can suck on the candy every couple of hours for up to 12 weeks but then it is recommended that you try to ween yourself off the therapy until you daily dose of nicotine is so low that the addiction will just die.
Are there any problems with the stop smoking lozenges?
As with most stop smoking aids that require you to take on some kind of nicotine there are a few side effects to look out for, nothing major but you should know what to be aware of:
- If you have a “stupid day” like I did once you may take your lozenges and then feel the overwhelming need to light up anyway. This could happen to anyone and unless you know that this can cause terrible sickness and headaches it would seem like a natural thing to do. Please do not smoke and use the lozenges because it makes you feel really ill, trust me.
- Most of us don’t bother reading the instructions with these types of things and think a friends advice is much more valuable but in this case they’re a worth look. One of the main rules is not to eat just before taking your lozenge and never greedily chew up the sweet because it will give you a major shot of nicotine and make you ill.
- If you overdose on the lozenges you will get nicotine poisoning and feel really sick. Make sure you take no more than 6 per day.
Once again always speak to your doctor before starting with any new medication.
If you’re looking for more help to stop smoking or an alternative way to quit that does not involve nicotine replacement therapy you may want to try a hypnosis tape or even look into the use of Neuro-linguistic programming in giving up which has been proven to decrease your craving and help get you through the day.
Some of the side effects found with the stop smoking lozenges are: insomnia, hiccups, coughing, nausea, headache, flatulence, and heartburn. Before you start taking this or any other nicotine replacement therapy for a stop smoking aid, ensure you consult your physician.
I hope you found this article useful and you can see the video below for even more information. If you would like to try out stop smoking lozenges put “commit stop smoking lozenge” in to Google and you will find a good one.

Smoking Cessation Benefits and Some Scary Smoking Side Effects
We all know that smoking cigarettes can be one of the most addictive things you can do and sometimes be even more addictive that taking Heroin! So the Smoking Cessation Benefits are clear for all to see.
But so many smokers find it hard to quit because their motivation is low and they forget all the great reasons they stopped in the first place and just light up another.
This article will go into some of the major smoking cessation health benefits to help with those low willpower moments.
Smoking cessation benefit 1 – Keep your children safe
Smoking can harm those around you with second hand smoke and is even more dangerous for our children then for you the smoker themselves.
However difficult it may seem to give up you must keep at it. When you’re feeling depressed or lonely smoking can seem like a comfort but really you’re kidding yourself – it’s just like a friend who is slowly poisoning you every day, what kind of a friend is that anyway?
The public has known for years that smoking kills and many millions of people before you have kicked the habit so you’re not alone, if the more hardcore chain smoker can do it I’m sure you can do it too.
Smoking cessation benefit 2 – You won’t be just another statistic
Nearly half a million people die every year in the United States due to smoking related illness and nearly one in five deaths are attributed to this silent killer.
Smoking cessation benefit 3 – You will be much less likely to get the diseases below
Here is a run down of some of the horrible problems smoke can cause.
- Lung cancer
- Cardiovascular problems
- Chronic lung diseases
- Strokes
- Respiratory problems
You can’t hide in the bushes and think this stuff won’t happen to you, if you smoke this is your future. You have to give up now.
If you want to know what happens to your body when you quit smoking, basically all these effects starts to reverse when you put out those cigarettes. Even though you may get a little smoking cessation cough.
Smoking cessation benefit 4 – More second hand smoke stats
As mentioned earlier there is an even more darker side to smoking that every parent would want to avoid.
Of course I’m talking about the fact that if you are smoking in front of, or near your child you are putting them at risk of contracting one of following health problems.
- Chronic bronchitis
- Pneumonia
- Middle ear problems
- Coughing
- Wheezing
- Asthma
- But the biggest worry for all parents is that passive smoking is one of the biggest factors in sudden infant death syndrome or SIDS.
Another factor to consider is that if you smoke your children are hundreds of times more likely to smoke themselves. The reason for this is that as they grown up they will see you trying to hide your addiction and feeling the sense of satiation you get when you breath the smoke in. This will create a kind of romance for smoking in your child’s mind because they want to be like you. I know myself that when I was 10 years old I stood in front of the mirror smoking a cigarette stolen from my father feeling very pleased with myself.
If your thinking about giving up, work out your plan of attack to beat the cravings and just do it. We all know that cigarettes are harmful but I think it’s a little less known that the smoke can also be a killer to your children. Please give up now and don’t stop trying, there is a smoking cessation program for everyone.

Quit Smoking Without Weight Gain
If you are worried about quit smoking weight gain and looking for a way to give up cigarettes while staying slim and looking great then is article is for you. Keep reading and we’ll get you all set up with the step by step tactics you need plus I’ll be answering the very common question “why do you gain weight when you quit smoking?”
It is very dangerous to try quitting smoking through using food to ease your cravings. Often you will gain a lot of weight then more than likely start smoking again because you feel so low. You might be in a whole word of problems as a very overweight person with a smoking habit so and I’m going to do my best the make quitting a healthy and low fat experience for you.
One of the biggest fears for many people who are thinking of giving up smoking is that their eating habit will get out of control, the smoking cravings will be taken over by food cravings and that they will become a ‘Mac Donalds whore’ with no chance of keeping the weight off.
But the sad thing is that this is usually paranoia and just another symptom of your mental addiction, because the benefits of giving up smoke far outweigh any health problem you may face by putting on just a little weight.
It’s true that many ex smokers gain a few kilos but this is nothing that you cannot easily work off once you’re an ex smoker and have all that extra energy!
The main reasons for quit smoking weight gain revealed
- This is simple really, the big factor here is that people eat more to ease the smoking cravings. Smoking suppresses hunger and makes food taste dull, so when you give up a nice meal or three sounds like a great idea.
- Food can also replace the fidgety feeling you get from not having something to do with your hands anymore and fill the emotional void now that your best friend “Mr Smoke” has left the building.
- The more you worry about weight gain while quitting the more weight you put on by comfort eating to ease the worry. The mind works in a very vicious cycle does is not?
Top 10 tips to quit smoking without gaining weight
- Don’t believe the lies your brain is telling you and try to flush your mind with positive thoughts of how healthy you will be once you give up.
- Set a sensible quit date that is not during thanks giving or the holidays, you need a month to really get strong so make sure that you can go to minimal social occasions during this time. There is so much food around over the holiday season that a craving-fueled binge is very likely.
- Try and stay off the booze. I know it will sound like hell to be giving up smoking and drinking at the same time, but if you want to stay slim then drinking beer and sugar packed alcohol is not a good idea. Plus we all know that there is nothing better than a smoke and a drink, just don’t do it to yourself.
- Eat healthy snacks throughout the day so that you don’t get hungry and to keep your energy levels high.
- With the money you‘re saving on not smoking you might like to employ a personal trainer to help you with your keep fit routine and give you more motivation to beat the addiction. You may also consider one of the many products to help quit smoking on the market like patches and gum.
- Make a note of your weight when you quit and keep this as your target weight to aim for once you have been smoke free for a period of time.
- Drink lots of water and flush that nicotine out of your body. This is the fastest way to beat the cravings.
- If you are going to a family meal ask your loved ones to go easy on your portions and support you in the decision to quit. You’ll be surprised how many of your family used to smoke and have tips to help you give up too.
- Reward yourself for those monthly and yearly millstones but don’t go out for a meal as the default celebration. For me it’s music and things for the house but I’m sure you have those special things that make you happy which are not food related.
- Weight gain after quit smoking is normal and even if you put on a whole bunch of weight don’t give in, smoking is bad enough but a smoking and eating addiction can be deadly. Think about your reasons for giving up often and build your willpower every day.
Giving up smoking is one of the most important things you will ever do and a few extra kilos may not make you feel the most confident but are far better than having a horrible smoking related disease. Smoking and weight gain are best friends so you need to follow the plan laid out here to avoid it.
No one ever died from have a little extra meat on their bones, but over 400,000 this year died from smoking related disease.

Quit Smoking Symptoms – My Definitive Guide to Nicotine Withdrawal Symptoms
If you have tried to give up before and been so wrecked with quit smoking symptoms that seemed to force you back into smoking, the most important thing you can do is to keep trying and see the set backs as part of the journey not the end. This article will try to deal with some of the worst symtoms to get you prepared.
Always make sure you think about giving up smoking as a very positive process that takes time and practice. The symptoms after you quit smoking can be tough but are nothing compared with the pain and heartache of a smoking related illness.
So let’s get to the point… and the big three withdrawal symptoms when you quit smoking.
Quit smoking weight gain
This can be a big problem for some people who quit smoking fast becuase as you start to go cold turkey your natural instinct is to feed your craving with food. There is also a chemical reaction happening when you give up that makes snacking more likely.
Solution
One way to beat binge eating while giving up is to to drink a pint of water each time you feel that food or cigarette craving in your tummy, this can often get you over the hump and help you get on with your day without the need for smoke.
Quit smoking depression
This is one of the more common problems for women when trying to give stop smoking. There can be a strong feeling of loss associated with cessation that feels like you’re never going to enjoy another evening out or have a really insightful conversation with a friend.
Solution
For women I would suggest not giving up during your period and making sure that all your friends know that you have made a firm decision to quit.
I have often found that friends who smoke are not very supportive of your decision to quit because seeing you smoke reinforces their resolved that their own habit is completely normal and safe. This is often a subconscious thought and does not mean the friend wishes you harm.
Once you feel strong enough you can still go outside for smokeless cigarette breaks so you don’t miss out on the conversation. Feel the proud feeling of knowing you are now totally smoke free for life and help your friends to give up where you can.
Warning: Do try and avoid ex smoker syndrome which is where self righteous ex smokers shake their heads at people lighting up and make cutting sarcastic comments. That is a very fast way to lose friends.
The deadly cravings
This is the big daddy of stop smoking symptoms, I think every person who has ever tried to quit has felt the pull back into smoking. It’s like the tobacco is calling you from the packet; a pressure builds inside and it seems the only thing you can do on earth is to pull out the lighter and give in. Remember this is just one of the side effects of quitting smoking and you can overcome it.
Solution
In reality these cravings only last a couple of minutes and you have to face that it’s just what happens when you stop smoking. During this short period of withdrawal I suggest you keep a “reason for quitting list” which will help you stay motivated even when you’re ultra tired and your willpower is low.
Final thoughts
Even for the heaviest of chain smokers the symptoms only last strongly for maximum of a few months and then you have the rest of your life to feel healthy and strong. Even if you had to stay in your house for weeks using the mantra, “no interest no desire” over and over again like a hermit until you felt you could get back into society it would be worth the effort in the scheme of things.

A Guide to Quit Smoking Patches, for Dummies
If you’re looking for information about quit smoking patches and where best to find them cheap online then this article is going to be for you. I’m guessing that you might have tried to give up before just using the willpower / cold turkey method and found it a little bit tricky to say the least!
So it’s my mission to give the full scoop on using nicotine patches and also a natural alternative that can actually help you give up in 30 minutes or less guaranteed. Stay tuned…
One of the main reasons that giving up can be such a problem is that not only does your mind crave the smoke but also your body starts to require the effects that cigarettes give you.
This double whammy tag team fight against your willpower and can very often lead to failure in your attempts at smoking cessation.
As suggested earlier, one great alternative to giving up cold turkey style is to use a bit of Nicotine Replacement Therapy to help you in the smoking war in the form of a nicotine patch!
Here’s how stop smoking patches work…
You wear a patch on your shoulder that releases a small amount of Nicotine into your bloodstream and the idea is that this fights the withdrawal symptoms smoking cessation can cause or ease them at the very least, then it’s up to you to beat any small cravings that still occur. (Nicorette patches work in the much the same way as quit smoking gum.)
Patches have been a major success for the Nicotine replacement companies and are recommended by many doctors as well. (Although as you can tell from my many spelling mistakes on this site I’m not a doctor so please get professional advice before trying any new medications
But I’m sure like me you know many people who have tried the patch and found it to have no effect at all and I guess your wondering if you’re going to be wasting your money in forking out the considerable amount of cash required for a whole series of patches.
When you get the patches you just stick them to your shoulder and away you go…they are rather like a small band-aid and once applied release a small amount of Nicotine into your blood stream.
So if you smoke a pack of 20 cigarettes a day you would put on the 21 mg patch and that would give you enough Nicotine to see you through the 24 hour period.
Once you feel comfortable at this amount you can start to step down the dose and phase out the patch altogether.
(If you smoke less than 20 a day there are 7mg and 14mg patches to suit your needs, and once again you should speak to your doctor about what will be the best way to go)
Applying the smoking cessation patches
You cannot just pop the patch anywhere…here are a few things you need to look for:
- Dry skin
- Hairless skin
- Clean skin
- The patch can be worn for up to 24 hours a day but if you have trouble sleeping with it on you may decide to only use the patch for 16 hours or so.
Will it work?
Patches can double your chances of quitting but the emotional and social cravings will still have to be overcome and, besides hypnosis, there is not a lot you can do about this more subtle side of the addiction. Patches only give your body the Nicotine it needs and your willpower will need to do the rest.
Can I smoke whilst using a patch?
The answer on the packet I have in front of me says that if you smoke while wearing a patch you may see all kinds of horrible side effects and symptoms like headache, dizziness and fainting so the best answer I can give is that it’s really not good to smoke while wearing the patch as you might get a nicotine overdose.
(Although there is a cynical side to my personality that thinks if I was going to market a patch that helps you stop smoking the first thing I would put on the packet would be a warning like “If you smoke while using this product you may DIE” straight away your success rate would go through the roof. What they really mean is “If you smoke while using this product we will have failed and you may tell your friends that our products are rubbish and then our business might go bust! So please, please do try to give up to make us look good”.)
No Magic Bullets
At the end of the day, these patches are a great idea in theory and when they came out people where going crazy thinking that finally there is a magic bullet to giving up with no effort. Who would not want to take a little pill or wear a little patch that instantly made smoking a thing of the past?
BUT the truth is that you will always have the urge to smoke on some level and the question is how are you going to deal with that long term. The patch is not going to instantly remove your need for smoke.
If you would like to try Nicotine patches you will likely have to spend $1000+ to go through a full program which is not cheap. First try looking on eBay and you may be able to find some cheap nicotine patches; I just saw some discount nicotine chewing gum on there today. Try to get nicotine patches online first.
Final Thoughts
Patches are a good option but become great when you use them in conjunction with other stop something aids and add layers to you stop smoking efforts.
I smoked for ten years and finally gave up a year and a half ago by using patches, hypnosis and drinking water which is a plan I show others now in my email newsletter.
It’s never easy but there are smart ways to make it easier on you.

Laser therapy to quit smoking can be useful if you’re looking for an easy way to stop without having to completely change your life and everything you did before.
Hello MR BOND! The Myth of Laser Smoking Cessation
For some people the idea of laser treatment for smoking cessation conjures up memories of James Bond lying on a bench while the Evil villain slowly guides the burning beam up towards his head before James makes his daring escape!
But these days clever doctors all over the world are using Lasers in all types of medical procedures to help with vision problems and many other diseases.
If you have tried nicotine patches, hypnotherapy programs and all manner of stop smoking aids Laser Smoking Cessation techniques might just work where willpower based systems have failed in the past.
5000 Years in the Making – The quit smoking plan
Laser Smoking Cessation techniques work much like 5000 year old acupuncture methods in that they relieve stress and try to get rid of some of those nasty endorphins that almost feel like they’re calling you to pick up the cigarette packet and jump for the lighter.
*Off topic* – My Grandmother recently went to have a little bit of acupuncture for a bad back and to be honest I was amazed because she is a major skeptic! So she goes along to see the nice Chinese lady at the clinic and has a great time being proded and poked with all manner of needles…
Everything was great until she sat down on the bus going home and felt a sharp pain in her shoulder, investigating only to find that there was a giant needle still sticking out of her body!
She had to go all the way back into town with the thing sticking out of her and have it removed.
So I’m not saying acupuncture to quit smoking is bad but if you can get the same stop smoking effects without having a hundred tiny needles poking out of you then why not?
Stop smoking by laser…Are The Lasers Safe?
For those of you thinking that it’s a little risky to to be trying out Laser therapy and imagining some kind of incredible hulk situation where you leave the clinic and turn into a big green monster, have no fear. The clever folks in Europe have been trying this stuff out for 35 years to help with addictions of all kinds, and although the early results were a little scary, (see Arnold Swarchzenegger
this kind of treatment has been shown to release endorphins which promote energy that can help ease cravings.
What can you expect on the day?
- The Laser is just a low level light no more powerful than the common light bulb. This is called low level laser equipment.
- The Laser will be applied to energy points all around the body which are related to your addiction.
- The treatment is considered to be very useful as a non-invasive, drug-free way to give up smoking the killer cancer sticks.
- The only sensation you may get is a slight warmth or pulsating feeling.
- The Laser will be applied to your hands, wrists, feet and ears.
How much does stop smoking with laser therapy cost?
Just one single Laser smoking therapy can cost more than $300! So it’s not cheap and like most other quit smoking aids still needs a good amount of will power from you. If you would like to learn how to give up without will power and without all the usual feeling of loss that goes along with giving up smoking please enter your email below.
Will I quit with Laser Smoking Cessation Therapy?
As mentioned before, no quit smoking system is guaranteed apart from something like NLP or hypnosis courses which offer a full refund if you are not happy with the results. We go into those kind of courses more in the 7 day email course.
Where can I get this done?
These are many companies in the US that offer this kind of therapy but in this article I’m going to suggest Freedom Laser Therapy as they seem to offer a very professional and safe service.
You can find them on Google.
Final thoughts
I would say that you should give a few other systems a try before going towards Laser Smoking Cessation, mainly because of the cost. I can also send you a bit more stuff if you just drop in your email in the form in the right.
As always never give up giving up and good luck!
